Out of the blue our vCenter server stops when the backup jobs are running (NetApp SnapProtect 10). All I can find in the eventviewer is:
The description for Event ID 1000 from source VMware VirtualCenter Server cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
An unrecoverable problem has occurred, stopping the VMware VirtualCenter service. Error: Error[VdbODBCError] (-1) "ODBC error: (23000) - [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_VPX_TASK'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.VPX_TASK'. The duplicate key value is (500248)." is returned when executing SQL statement "INSERT INTO VPX_TASK WITH (ROWLOCK) (TASK_ID, NAME, DESCRIPTIONID, ENTITY_ID, ENTITY_TYPE, ENTITY_NAME, LOCKED_DATA, COMPLETE_STATE, CANCELLED, CANCELLABLE, ERROR_DATA, RESULT_DATA, REASON_DATA, QUEUE_TIME, EVENT_CHAIN_ID, USERNAME, VM_ID, HOST_ID, COMPUTERESOURCE_ID, DATACENTER_ID, DESCRIPTION) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)"
the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
We are using version 5.1, SQL Server is on a always-on cluster running 2012.
Any idea how to fix this??
