Ok, so I need to run 4.1 on a x64 OS. So I purchased a brand spankin new Vcenter server and loaded it up. I used sql tools to migrate the database, then installed vcenter server on the new server. Then i had to reconnect each server in the vSpher client, I can now see all the servers and VM's in the cluster..... but... can't do V motions or enable HA when i try to enable HA i get the contact a primary HA agent. I have checked the host file, do i need an entry for the new server in there, i didn't for my old server? What might else be the problem. I can't reboot any physical server due to them all having lots of servers on them. I also get errors with update manager that says, Manager had an unknown error. Check the tasks and events tab and log files for details....
I'm really wanting to get this fixed before the end of the week...
