Hi,
we have a POC running 2 vcenter servers that are connected to each other using linked mode. (version 5.0 update 1) We are also using the webclient to give our users a unified method of approaching the guests.
We now have following problem using the webclient.
When a user log in to the web client he is greeted with this error message:
Could not connect to one or more vCenter Servers:
https://<FQDN>:443/sdk
When he clicks quickly on the OK button he sees following notification box in the right bottom corner:
Permission to perform this operation was denied.
At first glance it seems that everything is OK, but when we try to take over the console of a guest that is residing on a host that is on the "other" vcenter server, we can't. We can't even see the hardware details. thay are greyed out and on top of it is in red: Error: Permission to perform this operation was denied.
We've tried logging in via the other vcenter server first, but we get the same result, only the the other vcenter server is having difficulties.
We tried this with the vSphere client but then everything works like a charm.
Can somebody point me in the right direction for solving this problem?
